Today I'm going to talk about the season 4 finale of pretty little liars.
This episode reveals what happened the night of Alison DiLaurentis disappearce, from the very first episode there was so many unanswered questions and mystery's of what happened that night. In this episode (A is for Answers) reveals some of them.
So we know from the first Halloween special (The First Secret) Ali began to receive messages and gifts from - A.
Desirably wanting to find out who was sending her these terrifying messages, so she began to make a plan to cross suspects of her 'who is A? List'.
Which also brings us to that night!
So there is a recap of what happened that night and her many meetings on the way.
Alison's first flash back begins with Ian the morning of the day she went missing, when Melissa arrives and confronts Ian about Alison they both begin to argue. Alison is left alone and start's to copy Ian’s hard drive when she finds a video of Jenna and Toby’s sexual relationship.. Alison receives a new text message from A saying that A is going to Kill her while in the middle of intimidating Jenna about the video involving her and her stepbrother. Which meant Jenna was of course wasn't A, which meant she would be cross of the A list.
When Alison returned home from her encounter with Jenna she got yet another threat from A written with
red lipstick on her dressing table mirror. That night Alison and her mother Jessica got in a fight because she didn't want her daughter going out with her friends especially a Hastings. Alison takes 3 of her mother's sleeping pills from her handbag while she is talking with someone on the phone. She meets the girls at the barn and slips some of the pills into their drinks, hoping to cross them off the list if another A threat arrived. She met with Toby that night and said she knew he wasn't A, either.
Ezra pulls up and Alison gets in the car. Ezra was mad because he'd just discovered she lied about her age and was indeed in high school. He says he won't see her anymore and cut of contact with her.
Alison then met Ian at the kissing rock and threatened him with his videos that if she gets another A text she's sending him to jail. He warns her and says "them videos could bring everybody down, including your family."
Alison returned to the girls and found a crazy looking Spencer waiting for her. Spencer and Alison argue. Spencer picks up a shovel and tries to hit her but then falls to the ground. Alison sees Spencer's speed pills that had also fell along with her and follows her. Spencer sobs and begs Alison not to tell anybody. Alison promises to keep it between the two. Later on that night she sees Byron and tells him she has the tapes.
Alison didn't receive any more A texts that night, but returns home to find her mother staring out the window. Alison gets hit on the head with a rock while her mother looks on. Jessica is seen shoveling dirt over Alison, who she maybe thought was dead.
Alison heard her mother say "what have you done?" which means Jessica was trying to protect somebody. Alison got pulled out from the dirt by Mrs Grunwald who then put her into her car and headed for the hospital, while Mrs Grunwald went for help Alison left the hospital alone and Mona found her wobbling down a dark and empty road. They went to a motel under a fake name, Vivian Darkbloom, and Mona thinks that perhaps Alison should let A think she's dead by disappearing.
Mona puts her to sleep and goes next door to her "A headquarters" while in there she is seen humming and brushing a doll's hair saying "Such a pretty, pretty girl". The next morning Alison thanks Mona for saving her life. She tells Mona things to do to make her popular and leaves. Alison tells the girls in present day that Mona "played me like a fool."
That was just the things we learn thought the flash backs. I think there's still a lot to learn like 'who tried to kill her?' 'who is the new A? '.
